Make sure you have turned on the printer by pressing the Power button.
Make sure the power adapter is properly and securely connected to the printer and power outlet.
Plug another electrical device into the power outlet to verify that the outlet is supplying power.

Click on the Windows Menu > Settings > Devices > Printer & Scanners to locate if your printer is communicating.
Make sure the printer you purchased has compatible I/O ports with your computer. (See diagram on the back of this page)
Make sure the I/O cable connecting your computer to your printer is securely plugged into both devices.

Run Windows Troubleshooter by pressing the Windows Key + R > Type "Control Panel" and hit Enter > Select "System and Security" > Select "Troubleshoot Common Computer Problem" under Security and Maintenance.
This will pull up the Windows Troubleshoot Tool with any recommendations to fix a printer connection issue.

Are your drivers up to date?
