Condition Guide
Every item we sell falls into one of the condition types below. Here’s exactly what each one means.
Cosmetic Grades
Laptops, desktops, monitors, and phones are graded on appearance. Choose the grade that’s right for you.
GRADE A
Excellent Condition
- Very little to no wear
- Screens are free of imperfections
- Lightest signs of previous use
Best for: customer-facing environments and the best overall appearance.
GRADE B
Good Condition
- Normal signs of use
- May have small scratches and/or minor dents
- Screens may have very minor blemishes that do not affect display
Best for: great balance of condition and value.
GRADE C
Value Condition
- Considerable signs of use
- Typically scratches and scuffs; some units may also have dents, chips, or worn corners
- Screens may have noticeable cosmetic defects
Best for: maximum savings when appearance is not a priority.
Other Condition Types
Not every product is cosmetically graded. These two types appear throughout our catalog.
New
Certified Factory New
- Certified factory new — never previously deployed
- Original manufacturer packaging, accessories, and documentation
- Covered by warranty from day one
- No cosmetic grade assigned — it arrives as new
Best for: deployments that require new equipment and full factory coverage.
Refurbished
Tested & Verified
- Fully tested and verified 100% functional
- Professionally cleaned, inspected, and reset to factory defaults
- Not assigned a cosmetic grade — expect normal signs of prior use
- Backed by the same 1-year warranty
Typically applies to: networking switches, routers, server and expansion cards, printers, and similar equipment where appearance has little bearing on use.
Best for: infrastructure and back-of-rack equipment where function is what matters.
