Analog Phones plug directly into the wall and are connected to basic phone lines offered by a service provider.
Digital Phones require a dedicated phone system to be installed on site and are connected to it for all features and service.
IP Phones use an internet connection and require a VoIP provider for service.

Make sure to use the supplied line cord that came with the phone.
Most Digital phones do not require a power supply and rely on the phone system for power.
Try the Digital phone on another port or jack to verify the port is working.
Contact your IT administrator if you still do not get power.

All IP phones require an external power adapter or PoE switch.
If using a local power adapter or PoE injector, make sure all connections are secure.
If using a PoE switch, verify the switch is providing power by testing another known working device on the same port or jack.
Contact your IT administrator if you still do not get power.

Are you getting a dial tone?

Power cycle the phone by unplugging it and plugging in back in.
Make sure all cables are plugged in and secured in place.
Verify the phone is registered to your phone system.
If your phone has an extension number visible on the LCD, that typically means it is registered.
Contact your IT administrator if you are still not getting a dial tone.
