Power and UCS Firmware Requirements
- EM50 power is provided by Poly VVX450 host phone
- Use IEEE 802.3(af/at) PoE to power the VVX 450 or an external AC adapter (5 VDC/3 A)
- The EM50 powers up automatically upon USB port connection to the VVX 450
- While not required, we recommend still using the Poly 5 VDC/3 Amp power adapter even when powering the VVX 450 with PoE, to provide power needed to run both the phones and EM50 DSS console.
- We also recommend the phone run a minimum of UCS 6.4.3 firmware on the VVX 450
- When connecting multiple VVX EM50 modules to one VVX 450 phone, all of the EM50s must be the same hardware revision. Full Details HERE
