CXR Telecom 5200 Universal Transmission Analyser

The CXR 5200 is a multifunction transmission and signaling test set which has both metallic and DS1 interfaces for connecting to network lines. It may be used to test transmission characteristics of an analog channel up to 200 Khz, a digital (DS1) facility, or a digital channel (DS0) embedded within a DS1 signal. The set may also be equipped to measure signaling parameters of a metallic circuit or a channel embedded within a digital facility.

Included is the 5256 unit. This can be used to field testing of basic DDS, DDS with Secondary Channel, and optionally, Switched 56 circuits. It has provisions for accessing a digital channel at the TTL test jacks of a Dataport unit (OCU-DP), at balanced test jacks (DSX0A), or at a CSU jack on the customer premises. All DDS testing is conducted on a channel which is out of service.
